Indore: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, unveiled a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College’s Super Specialty Hospital in Indore. Additionally, he opened a newly constructed (G+2) block at the Government Dental College, which was built at a cost of approximately Rs 6 crore. The state-of-the-art equipment, provided by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility program, will greatly enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities. Chief Minister Yadav cut the ribbon of the CT scan room and received a briefing on the machine's features. The new building at the Dental College, constructed by the Public Works Department, addresses space constraints identified by the Dental Council of India during inspections. Furthermore, the state government is set to install an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation, benefiting both undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as outpatients.
Chief Minister Yadav expressed that these advancements reflect the state's dedication to improving healthcare services, noting that the advanced CT scan machine will aid in early disease detection and accurate diagnoses. He also mentioned that the new dental college building will provide students with access to top-notch facilities. During his visit, Yadav toured the MR-10 ISBT in Indore, scheduled to open by December, and announced plans for it to become India's largest inter-state bus terminal. Describing it as a modern facility resembling an airport, he emphasized its significance as a new landmark for Indore and the state. The terminal is expected to greatly enhance the state's infrastructure.The new 15-acre facility, constructed at a cost of Rs 101 crore by IDA, is set to greatly improve the travel experience for passengers, particularly with the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering. The terminal has the capacity to accommodate up to 80,000 passengers daily and 1,440 buses round the clock. It will include 14 ticket counters, a 1,000-vehicle parking facility, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and various other amenities. In addition, the CM inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College and assured employees at the Sanchi Dairy Plant that there will be no job cuts. The CM also announced plans to strengthen the state's dairy sector and empower dairy cooperatives. Furthermore, the CM unveiled a statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi at the city forest, honoring her community's sacrifice in protecting the environment. Lastly, during his visit to Indore, the CM received blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign', which has conducted blood tests for around 50,000 people.
